01 / Positioning

Violence is not something we have to accept.

Prevention is looking at the big picture. Prevention is committing to stepping in the right direction and being honest with ourselves about what works, and what doesn’t.

When violence happens, we often focus on the wrongdoer’s personal downfalls. But our world contributes to who we become, and violence stems from behaviors and situations in someone’s life that can be prevented.

Changing our communities and institutions leads to changing violence.

Real, manageable changes in our everyday lives are so important because small changes work together to make everyone healthier and safer.
